LaShaun phoenix Moore hosts a special edition of Poetry & Music celebrating the release of Miz Korona's latest EP, The Healer & The Heartbreaker. The evening will feature healer & heartbreaker-themed poems, Miz Korona performing works including her new EP with her live band, and DJ Stacye J on the 1s and 2s spinning throughout the night.

Miz Korona, born Paula Smiley, is a performing artist, photographer, and activist hailing from Detroit, MI. She was groomed for a life of creative expression early on by her father (and founding member of the 1970s R&B group The Floaters), who would instill the importance of confidence and showmanship. She has opened for national touring acts, including Scarface and Run-DMC.

About The Healer & The Heartbreaker:
Nearly two years after her last release, Miz Korona is back with a powerful new EP called The Healer & The Heartbreaker. With assistance from a few of Detroit's most sought-after producers, Miz Korona takes you on her personal journey of dating, falling in love, experiencing heartbreak, and healing from difficult relationships. The lead single, Lies, came in hot and heavy with transparency and honesty. It is a true indication of how this EP is definitely the most vulnerable material we've heard from the Detroit MC—and by far the most relatable. As you sit back and listen, ask yourself Miz Korona's most probing question: Are you a Healer or a Heartbreaker?
