Planned Giving

Planned Giving is a meaningful and generous way to express your commitment to the DSO and our oneDSO family. A planned gift is more than just a donation – it’s a statement of devotion and trust in what the DSO means to the world.

If you’d like to start a conversation about Planned Giving, or if you’ve already arranged for a legacy gift, we want to hear from you! Please contact Shay Vaughn at 313.576.5494 or svaughn@dso.org

What is Planned Giving?

Planned Giving includes a variety of deferred charitable gifts that benefit the DSO for generations to come. Gifts like bequests, charitable gift annuities, life insurance, real estate, and more fall under this category.

The 1887 Society

The DSO recognizes those who make legacy commitments as members of the 1887 Society. A passionate cohort of the oneDSO family, 1887 Society Members receive special recognition for their gifts and exclusive benefits throughout the DSO season!
