Steven Reineke

conductor

Steven Reineke has established himself as one of North America's leading conductors of popular music. This season Steven celebrates his tenth anniversary as Music Director of The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall. Additionally, he is Principal Pops Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Principal Pops Conductor of the Houston and Toronto Symphony Orchestras.

Reineke is a frequent guest conductor with The Philadelphia Orchestra, and his extensive North American conducting appearances include Atlanta, Cincinnati, Edmonton, San Francisco, and Sarasota.

On stage, Reineke has created programs and collaborated with a range of leading artists from the worlds hip hop, R & B, Broadway, television and rock including Maxwell, Common, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Cynthia Erivo, Sutton Foster, Megan Hilty, Cheyenne Jackson, Wayne Brady, Peter Frampton, and Ben Folds, amongst others. In 2017 he was featured on National Public Radio's "All Things Considered" leading the National Symphony Orchestrain a first for the show's 45-year historyperforming live music excerpts in between news segments. In 2018 Reineke led the National Symphony Orchestra with hip hop legend Nas performing his seminal album "Illmatic" on PBS's Great Performances.

As the creator of more than one hundred orchestral arrangements for the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, Reineke's work has been performed worldwide, and can be heard on numerous Cincinnati Pops Orchestra recordings on the Telarc label. His symphonic works Celebration Fanfare, Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Casey at the Bat are performed frequently in North America, including performances by the New York Philharmonic and Los Angeles Philharmonic. His Sun Valley Festival Fanfare was used to commemorate the Sun Valley Summer Symphony's pavilion, and his Festival Te Deum and Swan's Island Sojourn were debuted by the Cincinnati Symphony and Cincinnati Pops Orchestras. His numerous wind ensemble compositions are published by the C.L. Barnhouse Company and are performed by concert bands worldwide.

A native of Ohio, Reineke is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio (2020 Alumnus Distinguished Achievement Medal), where he earned Bachelor of Music degrees with honors in both trumpet performance and music composition. He currently resides in New York City with his husband Eric Gabbard.

Matt Doyle

vocalist

Matt Doyle won the 2022 Tony Award for 'Best Featured Actor in a Musical' for his performance as 'Jamie' in the Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's Company, for which he also won the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards, and received a Drama League Award nomination. His additional Broadway credits include Tony-winning Musicals The Book of Mormon (in the lead role of ‘Elder Price’) and Spring Awakening; 'Best Play' winner War Horse; and the revival of the beloved musical comedy Bye Bye BirdieOff-Broadway, Matt most recently led the critically acclaimed production of Little Shop of Horrors. Regionally, he starred in the world premiere of the Huey Lewis musical, The Heart of Rock & Roll at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego; and played 'Melchoir' in the national tour of Spring Awakening. Additional Off-Broadway and regional credits include Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, A Clockwork Orange, Brooklynite, Giant, and Jasper in Deadland. Onscreen, he has appeared on The Code(CBS), The Original Gossip Girl(CW), and returned to the show in the HBO Max reboot. He can also be seen in the indie feature Private Romeo, and the short film, The Albatross Cafe. Matt has performed at Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops, at symphonies across The United States and Canada, and continues to headline a sold-out solo show throughout New York City and beyond.

Matt recently made his UK stage debut and starred as Frank Sinatra in the world premiere of Sinatra The Musical, a brand new musical about the legendary singer’s life.

 

 

Bradley Gibson

A North Carolina native, was last seen on stage starring as 'Hercules' in the pilot production of Disney’s Hercules at Papermill Playhouse. Recently he has been performing for Disney all over the world including the UK's Royal Albert Hall, with the All Stars in Taipei, EPCOT Festival of the Arts and headlining the 30th Anniversary of The Lion King concert at The Hollywood Bowl. Bradley has appeared on Broadway starring as 'Simba' in Disney’s The Lion King, in addition to the original Broadway cast of ROCKY, and A Bronx Tale. On-Screen: Bradley can be seen starring in the Netflix drama Partner Track, Power Book II: GHOST, Kung Fu, and the film Fire Island.

Emily Padgett-Young

Emily Padgett-Young's performance career spans two decades and six Broadway shows. Most recently, she played Mrs. Bucket in the musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory," directed by Jack O’Brien. Emily also originated the role of Lucy Grant in Steve Martin and Edie Brickell’s, "Bright Star," from its early performances at the Kennedy Center to its Tony-nominated Broadway run. Additionally, she starred as Daisy Hilton in Bill Condon’s reimagined revival of "Side Show," from its development at The La Jolla Playhouse, where she won The San Diego Critics Circle Award for Best Actress in a Musical, to The Kennedy Center, where she received a Helen Hayes Award nomination, and finally Broadway’s St. James Theatre.

Emily was an original cast member of the most recent Broadway revival of "Grease" and played Sandy on its first National Tour. A true "triple threat" performer, she toured the U.S. and Mexico as Demeter in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s "Cats" and played the role of Alex in the musical adaptation of "Flashdance." Dancing alongside Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as Helene in the revival of "Sweet Charity," Emily earned a Chita Rivera Award nomination.

Emily has had the honor of performing with symphony orchestras across the nation, including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Carolina Philharmonic, North Carolina Symphony, Midland Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, and Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra. She regularly shares the stage with her husband, Tony Award nominee Josh Young. This November, Emily will star as Julie Jordan in "Carousel" with the Springfield Symphony.

In addition to her symphony performances, Emily has graced the stages of New York’s most prestigious cabaret venues, such as 54 Below and Joe’s Pub at The Public Theatre. She has also contributed her voice to several original cast albums, including "Side Show," "Bright Star," and "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory." Most recently, Emily headlined performances with The Toronto Symphony Orchestra and The Detroit Symphony Orchestra under the musical direction of Steven Reineke, principal conductor of The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall.

Emily serves on the voice faculty for the School of Music at Missouri State University, bringing her extensive professional experience to the next generation of performers.

Ciara Renée

vocalist

Ciara Renée recently starred in a season-long arc of the hit Showtime series YOUR HONOR opposite Bryan Cranston as well as the IFC feature PAINT, opposite Owen Wilson. In addition, Ciara starred in the world premiere of THE LONELY FEW at the Geffen Playhouse, as “Jenna” in WAITRESS on Broadway, and before that was the first Black mixed actress to play “Elsa” in Disney’s FROZEN on Broadway. Previously, Ciara starred in MCC’s THE WRONG MAN, originated the role of “The Witch” in BIG FISH, and appeared as "The Leading Player" in PIPPIN on Broadway. She also originated the role of “Esmeralda" in THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME at the Papermill Playhouse and was "Peggy/Maria" in the final lab of HAMILTON. Ciara splits her time between New York and Los Angeles and also directs/produces for both stage and screen. Other television: THE BIG BANG THEORY, Facebook’s STRANGERS, Netflix’s MASTER OF NONE, LEGENDS OF TOMORROW.
