Detroit, (December 9, 2020) – Today, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) announced that this week’s two DSO Digital Concerts scheduled for Thursday and Friday will be combined into one program to be webcast on Friday, December 11 at 8:00 p.m. at dso.org. The schedule change was necessary due to a delay in results from COVID-19 testing administered at the beginning of every week to musicians and backstage staff. On Friday, Music Director Jader Bignamini will conduct the DSO in Jessie Montgomery’s Starburst, R. Strauss’s Concerto for Oboe and Small Orchestra in D major with soloist Alexander Kinmonth (DSO Principal Oboe), and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, “Eroica”.
