Program changes for this week’s DSO Digital Concerts

Detroit, (February 17, 2021) – Today, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) announced program changes to this week's DSO Digital Concerts. In accordance with the orchestra's Covid-19 health and safety protocols, guest violinist James Ehnes is unable to appear out of an abundance of caution due to possible exposure.

In place of the two programs with Ehnes, principal string players from the DSO will perform Brahms’s Sextet No. 2 in G major, Op. 36—originally scheduled for Friday’s program—on Thursday, February 18 at 7:30 p.m. On Friday, February 19 at 7:30 p.m., the DSO will present an encore screening of the December 2019 program with Ehnes performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64, with the DSO and conductor Juanjo Mena. See below for complete details.

Subscribers and donors above $125 receive access to all DSO Digital Concerts, with single tickets available to purchase for $12. Concerts can be viewed exclusively on dso.org via computer, mobile device, or smart TV both live and on-demand for two weeks following the original concert performance. For more information, and to purchase tickets, visit dso.org/digitalconcerts. Ticketholders with questions may contact the DSO Box Office by calling 313.576.5111 or emailing digitaltickets@dso.org.
