The 8th Annual DSO Day of Service
Being a community-supported orchestra also means being a community-supporting orchestra, so once a year DSO musicians, staff, and supporters visit community partners to give back.
This October we worked with four new partners: Oakland Avenue Urban Farm, the Belle Isle Conservancy, Rock CF, and Detroit Black Community Food Security Network, and painted rocks for our good friends at the Children's Hospital of Michigan, which will be placed on the CHM playground for kids receiving medical support.
In its eighth year, our Day of Service looked a little bit different - with some projects being completed from home - but we're elated to introduce you to some of the organizations that make Detroit great!
