How to Access and Save Your E-Ticket Barcode

For the safety of our patrons, musicians, staff, volunteers and vendors, the following policies are in effect as of December 1, 2024:
• All bags entering DSO facilities are subject to inspection.
• No backpacks, large/duffel bags, large purses, and suitcases are permitted. Purses, medical bags, diaper bags, and medical devices smaller than 14” x 14” x 6” are allowed.
• There is no storage available for bags that do not adhere to the above standards.
• No weapons or disruptive materials are allowed on DSO property.

Tickets can be purchased on DSO.org, or via the Box Office over the phone.

All sales are final and non-refundable. Even though we’ll miss you, we understand that plans can change unexpectedly, so the DSO offers flexible exchange and ticket donation options. Read more in the FAQs below.

Please note that all patrons (of any age) must have a ticket to attend concerts. We love seeing young faces at The Max, but we get it: some of us are too young for Schoenberg. We recommend doing a little research about the music, performers, and themes for a performance when deciding whether it’s appropriate for kids.

To learn more about seating options, head over to the Your DSO Experience pages found here and review Before You Arrive.

Ticket Policy: Fraudulent Acquisitions

Tickets acquired through fraudulent methods are not valid. Patrons possessing such tickets will be denied entry. If fraudulent tickets are discovered, they will be voided and confiscated. The DSO reserves the right to cancel ticket orders at its sole discretion and without notice.

Official Ticket Outlet

The only way to ensure a secure and authorized ticket is by purchasing directly from the DSO at dso.org/tickets, via phone at 313.576.5111 or in person at the DSO Box Office.

Unauthorized Ticketing Agents

The DSO assumes no liability for tickets purchased through unauthorized channels and other secondary market or ticket broker services.

The DSO reserves the right to monitor sales and may cancel ticket orders from accounts that exhibit activity like that of a ticket broker. Additionally, ticket holders who attempt to circumvent established ticket limits by creating multiple accounts, or using any other method, will have their tickets canceled at the complete discretion of the DSO. The DSO also reserves the right to change the ticket delivery method to will-call and may require presentation of both a photo ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets.

E-tickets are digital tickets accessible via your mobile device. As you arrive, we kindly ask you to have your e-ticket barcode displayed on your screen, ready for our ushers to scan. Please follow the below steps to access your e-tickets before you arrive:

  2. Go to My Upcoming Events and click the arrow next to the ticket you want to manage.
  3. Select how you want to save your e-ticket barcode. You may select "Show My Barcode" to immediately display your barcode, however, we highly recommend saving your tickets ahead of time for easy access at the door.
  • Text My Tickets

While we strongly prefer that patrons use digital e-ticketing, we acknowledge that some patrons may prefer to print their e-ticket barcode at home. If you wish to do so, please select Email My Tickets and print the file you receive in your email to ensure all information is included on your ticket.

Tickets of equal or lesser value may be exchanged up to the performance for a small fee and the different in ticket price if exchanging into a more expensive performance. Exchange fees are waived for subscribers up to the day before the performance.

Please visit or call the Box Office at 313.576.5111 to exchange tickets.

Ticket holders unable to use or exchange their tickets are encouraged to call the Box Office at 313.576.5111 to donate their tickets back to the DSO. The value of each ticket can be used as a tax-deductible contribution. The DSO will issue ticket holders a tax receipt for the amount they paid for the ticket(s). When calling the Box Office, you’ll be asked to provide your patron number and concert date and time, and the DSO will process and mail a receipt. Patron numbers are located on the bottom of all printed tickets.

The DSO is a show-must-go-on orchestra! In the event a concert is cancelled, our website and social media feeds will announce the cancellation, and patrons will be notified of exchange options. The DSO is unable to offer refunds for cancelled concerts.
