All DSO concerts and events through May 10 have been cancelled or rescheduled due to public health recommendations to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). All ticket holders will be contacted via email with options for exchanges, donating tickets, and refunds. Tickets for rescheduled concerts will be honored on the new dates. Tickets can be purchased on DSO.org, or via the Box Office—either in-person or over the phone.
All sales are final and non-refundable. Even though we’ll miss you, we understand that plans can change unexpectedly, so the DSO offers flexible exchange and ticket donation options. Read more in the FAQs below.
Please note that all patrons (of any age) must have a ticket to attend concerts. We love seeing young faces at The Max, but we get it: some of us are too young for Schoenberg. We recommend doing a little research about the music, performers, and themes for a performance when deciding whether it’s appropriate for kids.

Tickets of equal or lesser value may be exchanged up to the performance for a small fee and the different in ticket price if exchanging into a more expensive performance. Exchange fees are waived for subscribers up to the day before the performance.

Ticket holders unable to use or exchange their tickets are encouraged to call the Box Office at 313.576.5111 to donate their tickets back to the DSO. The value of each ticket can be used as a tax-deductible contribution. The DSO will issue ticket holders a tax receipt for the amount they paid for the ticket(s). When calling the Box Office, you’ll be asked to provide your patron number and concert date and time, and the DSO will process and mail a receipt. Patron numbers are located on the bottom of all printed tickets.
The DSO is a show-must-go-on orchestra! In the rare event a concert is cancelled, our website and social media feeds will announce the cancellation, and patrons will be notified of exchange options. The DSO is unable to offer refunds for cancelled concerts.

Official DSO printed tickets can be used for entrance at any DSO venue, as well as printed copies of the PDF with barcode offered at the end of your online checkout. To print a scannable PDF, just choose the "Print at Home" option offered, and a separate email will be sent which contains your printable tickets.
If you prefer paperless: also choose the "Print at Home" option during checkout, and keep the follow-up email with tickets handy; the barcode included in the PDF can be scanned from your mobile device screen upon entrance.
If tickets are lost, call the Box Office who can verify the purchase and reprint the tickets, which can be picked up at the Box Office prior to the concert.
Gift certificates are available in any dollar amount and may be used toward the purchase of DSO concert tickets! Gift Certificates are currently available through the Box Office.
