We can't wait to welcome you back to The Max for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s 2021-2022 season. To protect the health and safety of our patrons and staff, we have implemented new safety measures and transitioned from printed tickets to contactless e-ticketing. Please contact the Box Office by phone at 313-576-5111, email tickets@dso.org, or fax 313-576-5109.

How to Access and Save Your E-Ticket Barcode

Tickets can be purchased on DSO.org, or via the Box Office over the phone.

All sales are final and non-refundable. Even though we’ll miss you, we understand that plans can change unexpectedly, so the DSO offers flexible exchange and ticket donation options. Read more in the FAQs below.

Please note that all patrons (of any age) must have a ticket to attend concerts. We love seeing young faces at The Max, but we get it: some of us are too young for Schoenberg. We recommend doing a little research about the music, performers, and themes for a performance when deciding whether it’s appropriate for kids and also reading current safety protocols for children 12 and under.

To learn more about seating options, head over to the Your DSO Experience pages found here and review Before You Arrive.

E-tickets are digital tickets accessible via your mobile device. As you arrive, we kindly ask you to have your e-ticket barcode displayed on your screen, ready for our ushers to scan. Please follow the below steps to access your e-tickets before you arrive:

The DSO is committed to the health and well-being of our patrons, musicians, and staff. Starting September 18, 2021, the DSO will require proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 or a negative COVID-19 test to enter.

While inside, guests must also wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status, unless you are actively eating or drinking.

Please avoid entry if you feel ill, have a fever, or have been exposed to someone with symptoms of COVID-19 in the past ten days.

Proof of vaccination or a negative test must be presented at all entry points. Accepted vaccines are those currently approved for use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration: Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson.

Negative test results must be from either a PCR test taken within 48 hours of your performance time, or from an antigen test – also known as a rapid test – taken within 6 hours of your performance time.

We recommend using the Clear app, available for both Apple and Android devices, to store and present your information upon entry. You may also present a physical copy or digital image stored on your phone. Please have this ready to show before you reach the first set of doors.

Gift certificates are available in any dollar amount and may be used toward the purchase of DSO concert tickets! Gift Certificates are currently available through the Box Office.
