Throughout the 2019-2020 season — even after the coronavirus pandemic turned the world upside-down — we celebrated the centennial year of Orchestra Hall, our home on Woodward Avenue that was built in the summer of 1919. One hundred and one summers later, the hall's birthday party has reached a crescendo.

You may remember the exhibitions at The Max and the Detroit Historical Museum that told the story of Orchestra Hall; now, this virtual reconstruction captures the magic and feel of walking through the original, in-person exhibits, with new content archiving how the DSO kept the music playing during the pandemic.

Proudly presented in partnership with the Detroit Historical Society.
