Suddenly, the raw and unstoppable dance begins. Francesca Dego’s “verve, and an evident delight in the unexpected,” ("Gramophone") come through in Shostakovich’s First Violin Concerto. Inspired by an ancient legend, French composer Camille Pepin’s "Celestial Waters" summons cosmic sounds.
