Music is courageous, unifying, powerful, and calming, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra won’t let it be silenced in times of uncertainty. While the orchestra wasn't on stage from March-August 2020, we remained committed to sharing music with you - wherever you were.
Use this space to learn about some of the ways we accomplished virtual music-making and community building during the spring and summer and to find out about new projects and resources as they launch.
The orchestra returned to the stage in September for the new DSO Digital Concert Series. Without patrons and students at The Max life is still far from normal, but with technology in our DNA the DSO continues to navigate new ways to #KeepTheMusicPlaying.
We are even more grateful for your support at this time. It is your belief in the DSO that will enable us to emerge from these challenging circumstances resilient and ready to serve our community with even greater purpose.
"DSO continues to be a first class orchestra and one of the biggest innovators, putting their listeners and supporters first, always. With a robust outpouring of talent from the musicians themselves to the amazing people organizing web streams and savvy social media, it’s been an absolute pleasure watching this sublime organization evolve."
