A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, a film changed movie history and introduced one of cinema’s most unforgettable musical scores. In Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra performs John Williams’ Oscar®-winning score live as the complete film plays on screen, bringing new energy and scale to every moment of the adventure. As Luke Skywalker is pulled from his quiet life on Tatooine into the fight against the Empire, he joins Obi-Wan Kenobi on a mission that will shape the future of the galaxy. From the rescue of Princess Leia to the battle against Darth Vader, this live concert experience captures the excitement, spirit, and wonder of the film that started it all.
