Nosferatu with Live Music
Featuring Andrew Alden EnsembleNosferatu with Live Music
Featuring Andrew Alden EnsembleSaturday, October 10—9:00pm
F.W. Murnau’s German expressionist horror film is revered as one of the scariest Dracula adaptations ever made. The new score by the Detroit-based Andrew Alden Ensemble compliments the horror of the film and the classic story of Dracula with the sensibilities of classical chamber music and the distinct edge of rock. The music, featuring synthesizers, percussion, guitar, saxophone, and electric sound design, will be performed live during a screening of the film, giving audiences a new experience with this memorable classic.
The DSO does not appear on this program.
