Concert Description
The great strength and nobility of Brahms’ Fourth – and final – Symphony places it among his supreme masterworks. Conductor Simone Young, making her Detroit Symphony debut, has been internationally praised for her Brahms performances. The DSO’s Karl Pituch and Johanna Yarbrough perform Haydn’s delightful Concerto for Two Horns. These concerts begin with Webern’s early, romantic Passacaglia.
