Concert Description
Tchaikovsky poured his soul into symphonies that would express his anguish and passions as no music had ever dared to. John Storgårds conducts Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony, and Pekka Kuusisto plays Daníel Bjarnason's new Violin Concerto. “Defining music’s brave new world,” says Time Out NY of Bjarnason. “The David Bowie of the fiddle,” raves The Times of London of Kuusisto.
Commissioned by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Gustavo Dudamel, Music & Artistic Director; and the Iceland Symphony Orchestra.
