Concert Description

Carole King, Tina Turner, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Pat Benatar, – the list of powerful women who changed rock and roll goes on and on. The DSO and Jeff Tyzik pay homage to the women of rock with hit songs like “I Feel The Earth Move,” “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” “Proud Mary,” “Piece Of My Heart,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman,” and many more.


Jeff Tyzik, conductor  Bio
In demand across North America as a pops conductor, Jeff Tyzik is the creative force behind the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra’s Pops. He is also principal pops conductor of the Vancouver and Oregon symphony orchestras. He maintains a busy guest-conducting schedule with the Boston Pops, the New York Pops, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and the Toronto Symphony, among others.
