Concert Description

In a concert setting, the DSO performs Puccini’s final opera, Turandot. In the composer’s vision of ancient China, three riddles stand before any suitor wishing to marry Princess Turandot, and one wrong answer means death.

There will be two intermissions for this program – following Act 1 and Act 2.

ConcerTalk 6/8 at 7 PM & 6/10 at 2 PM: Get the most out of each Classical concert with informal presentations in Orchestra Hall one hour before the performance begins. Enjoy special guests, lectures, or performances that illuminate the program and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the art of making music! In this iteration, Associate Conductor Michelle Merrill will speak about the program.
