Concert Description

Each symphony Tchaikovsky composed brought with it ever more emotional intensity. His final symphony, “Pathétique,” was his most personal expression, containing a meaning he kept secret to his grave. This program features Tchaikovsky’s Sixth Symphony along with world premieres from two rising American composers.

ConcerTalk 5/26 at 7 PM & 5/27 at 2 PM: Get the most out of each Classical concert with informal presentations in Orchestra Hall one hour before the performance begins. Enjoy special guests, lectures, or performances that illuminate the program and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the art of making music! In this iteration, Yaniv Segal will interview composers Roshanne Etezady and Chris Cerrone.
