Mozart's "Prague" Symphony

Concert Description

This Neighborhood Series Concert is sponsored by St. John Providence Health System.

Israeli-born cellist and contemporary artist Maya Beiser crosses cultural borders in "Desert Sorrows" — a world premiere concerto by American composer Mohammed Fairouz. Leonard Slatkin leads Mozart's "Prague" Symphony and two serenades showcasing the breathtaking virtuosity of the DSO's strings and winds.

This performance will also be held Thursday, January 14 and Saturday, January 16 at other locations.

On "Desert Sorrows" by Mohammed Fairouz:
This cello concerto is dedicated to the precious Faisal Al-Juburi with everlasting loyalty, respect and love.
