Server

Responsible for food and alcohol service to guest in the Paradise Lounge, and at special events as required.  Provides exceptional customer service and monitors guest consumption of alcoholic beverages and age verifications. Responsible for cleanliness of lounge and storage areas.  Has good knowledge of food and spirits.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Greets and takes food and beverage orders from guest.

Serves guests orders and accommodates special needs/requests.

Remain attentive to the guest throughout their dining experiences.

Busses and maintains the cleanliness of the lounge and cleans and organizes storage rooms

Reads and understands the event packet for each event.

Interact with guests and co-workers in a professional and friendly manner.

Checks ID’s and practices safe alcohol service according to state and Max M. Fisher Music Center policies.

Is familiar with all brands of beverages (beer, wine, soda, and liquor) and menus carried by the establishment

Handles cash readily and with accuracy

Presents a clean and professional appearance at all times

Sets up tables with proper linen and décor

Returns all items to the necessary storage areas at the end of the event

Performs other activities that contribute to the overall effectiveness of team management

 

Position Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age

Must have a minimum of 6 months serving experience

Must be flexible with scheduling, long hours standing and/or walking

Must be available to work a minimum of three shifts per week including weekends and evenings

Must have taken or be willing to take alcohol awareness training

Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 25 pounds of force frequently and constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
