Macy's Super Saturdays

Macy's Super Saturdays are an engaging musical experience for the whole family! Start the day with the Tiny Tots concert in the Music Box, followed by engaging activities on all three levels of the Max M. Fisher Music Center. The day culminates with a full orchestra concert for families in Orchestra Hall.

Tiny Tots (ages 2 - 6)

Hear fun, imaginative, and interactive performances designed for children ages 2-6. Enjoy up-close and personal performances in the DSO's Music Box as audiences sing, dance, and enjoy a morning full of musical fun—all before naptime!

Young People's Family Concerts (ages 6+)

Young People's Family Concerts are an exciting introduction to classical music, often including dance, theater, storytelling, and video technology. Get to know the DSO and discover all that the orchestra can do! Young People's Concerts have introduced generations of children to classical music—a friendship that lasts a lifetime.

All aboard the Hogwarts Express! Join Assistant Conductor Michelle Merrill and the DSO for selections from your favorite Harry Potter films and more. Witches, wizards and even muggles are invited to participate in our annual costume contest and other spooktacular pre-concert activities!

Tchaikovsky Discovers America

Travel with Tchaikovsky as he arrives in New York for the Grand Opening of Carnegie Hall in 1891 and makes his famous journey to Niagara Falls. This Classical Kids Live! theatrical production features excerpts of the composer’s music, including passages from his three famous ballets: The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake
