For more than 80 years, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's Educational Concert Series (ECS) has introduced children across Southeast Michigan to classical music. Each concert within the series has been thematically designed with accompanying teacher resource tools available for those who purchase tickets for performances or register to watch webcasts.
All ECS concerts take place in historic Orchestra Hall. Tickets are just $6 each for students, teachers, and chaperones!

Prepare to be moved! Through symphonic masterpieces inspired by elements as diverse as dance and nature, this program uncovers the ways that music and movement go hand in hand. Students will be captivated by the high energy performances of traditional classical and contemporary music that will inspire everyone to get up and move!

The 2016-2017 season celebrates the 3rd season of our groundbreaking worldwide webcast Live From Orchestra Hall: Classroom Edition; enabling children everywhere to share a DSO concert experience with students in Metro Detroit. These performances are FREE and open to students worldwide!

Give your students a behind the scenes opportunity to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra rehearse with world renowned conductors and soloists in historic Orchestra Hall. This intimate setting is most beneficial for mature high school and college age musicians. Rehearsal dates for 2016-2017 will be available in the fall.
